A clearing service, not an online marketplace.
PushList started from a simple observation in the Montérégie: every season, sound but off-size, off-shape or storage-surplus carrots go to feed or compost, while processors and wholesalers in Montréal are looking for exactly that volume at a good price. Making that connection lot by lot, fast, with a price and a deadline, is PushList’s job.
What we do
We describe the lot with the grower, put it in front of pre-qualified buyers within 24 to 72 hours, collect offers at or above the floor price and coordinate pickup. We never touch the product and we hold no inventory. We are paid by a 10% commission on the accepted price, invoiced to the grower after confirmed pickup, and by nothing else.
Why start with carrots
According to the 2023 overview, Québec grew 32% of Canada’s carrots, and on 2021 data 59% of the province’s field-vegetable acreage was in the Montérégie (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, 2023; Gouvernement du Québec, 2021). One product, one region, buyers concentrated in Montréal: that is the ground where a manual service can learn fast. Onions and potatoes will follow.
What we are not
Not an online marketplace where you post and wait. Not a food-rescue organization: donating remains a good choice for some lots, and the two can coexist. Not a buyer: we never take possession of the lot.
